Lindsay Wandziak (Head Coach)
Lindsay is a former Sudbury Y Synchro swimmer, a former Sudbury Synchro Swim Club swimmer and a York Synchro Tier 7 Senior swimmer. Lindsay has been involved in synchro for the last 13 years and is a level 1 judge. A few of her synchro accomplishments have been a gold medal for her duet at the 2004 Winter Games amd a gold medal for Tier 6 Figures at the 2007 Tier Championships. Last year she returned to Sudbury and is attending Cambrian in the Nursing Program.
Dominique Valiquette
Dominique swam for 9 years with the Sault Y Synchro Club. She coached the recreational program for 6 years in Sault Ste Marie and ran the program for 3 years. Dominque completed her judging certificate 5 years ago and is currently studying the French Language Speech Pathology Program (Orthophonie) at Laurentian University. Dominique will be coaching one of our Thursday Precompetitive teams this year. We are very happy to have Dominique again apart of our Sudbury Synchro Swim Club family and we hope that she and her team have a great year!!
Allison Merla
Allison Merla is an experienced coach and swimmer, having competed for Sudbury for nine years and having coached with the Sudbury and Guelph Synchro Swim Clubs for the past eight years. Allison has had a varied coaching career, working with athletes at the recreational, provincial and national levels. Allison brings a love of the sport to all of her swimmers in a gentle, quiet way…thanks Allison!
Chelsea Wandziak
Chelsea has been apart of the Synchronized Swimming program in Sudbury for 10 years. She was a Tier 6 swimmer who swam competitively for 8 years. Four years ago she earned a Silver medal at the Ontario Winter Games in her Tier 5 Duet with Irina Cividino. Three years ago she swam a Tier 6 competitive duet with her sister Lindsay, and won silver at the Tier Championships.
Patricia Moore
Patricia is a former Tier 7 national senior swimmer from York Synchro. She is currently a student at Laurentian University. She is a level 2 coach and is excited about coaching the 16-20 team, duet, and solo. Good luck Patricia and welcome to Sudbury Synchro!
Katie Millar
This is Katie’s third year with the Sudbury Synchro Swim club and we are happy to have her coaching for our club again. Katie swam competitively for Nepean and is now attending school at Laurentian University. Katie will be coaching one of our Thursday precompetitive teams. Jenni Calford
Jenni is a former Sudbury Y Synchro swimmer who has returned to synchro as a coach. She has been successfully coaching our Tuesday Recreational team for the past 3 years and has been a definite asset to the club. Good luck again this year Jenni, I am sure your team will love having you as their coach!
Courtney Stasiuk
Courtney has been with the Sudbury Synchro Swim club for the past 9 years and swam for 7 years. She is very excited to coach and will bring alot of enthusiasm and experience to club’s coaching team. I am coaching a pre-comp team. Good luck this year Courtney! She is a student at Cambrian in the nursing program.
Taylor Squires
Taylor is also new to coaching synchro but she swam for the Sudbury Synchro Swim club for the past 6 years. She successfully swam a Tier 4 duet last year with Courtney. She is very excited to start coaching and so she will bring alot of enthusiasm and experience to club’s coaching team. Taylor will be co-coaching Friday’s precompetitive team with Courtney. Good luck this year Taylor and we are sure you, Courtney and your team will most certainly have fun!
Cynthia Tremblay
Cynthia is a former swimmer with the Sudbury Y Synchro Club where she swam for 4 years teams and duets as well as 2 years on the Masters team with the Sudbury Synchro Club. She has returned to the synchro lifestyle to coach the Thursday night pre-competitive team. Cynthia brings fun challenges and a dynamic personality. The girls will be sure to work hard, but have a splash along the way.

Carrie Deguerre Wilson (guest Coach)
Carrie was a synchronized swimmer from the age of six. She swam recreationally for 2 years and then went competitive at age eight. At ten years old, she was the provincial champion for 10 & under figures. She won many titles after that with her teammates such as provincial team and duet champions as well as National Duet and Team champions. Carrie was a member of the Canadian National Synchronized Swim Team from 1989 – 1995. Participation on the National Team took her to competitions all over the world including Pan American Games and Word Championships – Silver Medals were earned at each of those major competitions. Immediately following her swimming career, Carrie began coaching at the Etobicoke Olympium. Her swimmers earned titles such as Junior and Senior Provincial Champions as well as Junior and Senior Solo and Duet National Champions. In 2000, Carrie was awarded Junior Coach of the year by Synchro Canada. Following her time with OSSC, she consulted with various clubs in Southern Ontario as well as with the Korean Olympic Duet prior to the Sydney Olympics. Carrie moved north to Sudbury Ontario with her husband in 2003. She joined a small but committed group of people that had a vision of regrowing synchronized swimming in Sudbury. She has been a past head coach of the club and has worked with various Tier levels. Her goal is to help build a self-sustaining club with knowledgable coaches that provide exciting new experiences for young girls through the sport of synchronized swimming. Carrie has been the a driving force behind positive changes in the club over the past 7 years. She has helped to set up our programs, develop our swimmers as well as our coaches.
