COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
REGISTRATIONS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN!
Competitive Artistic Swimming
This program is for swimmers interested in the challenge of a competitive sport. Swimmers continue to develop their skills while competing at the provincial level. Competitions take place in 2 parts: individually in figures and as part of a team in routine. Figures are individual structured movements. Team scores are made up of individual scores plus the scores the team receives during their routine performance. Swimmers practice several times per week and compete regionally and provincially at 2-3 competitions per year. The practice times and days depend on the team level. Team levels are based on the Synchro Ontario standards with team ages 10 and under, 11-12, 13-15, and 16+. Specific uniform and Star Level requirements depend on the team. Each year specific meets are attended based on a decision by the head coach and parent advisory group. Some of the meets attended in the past are the Lisa Alexander Meet, Ontario Winter Games, Regional Meet, Age Group Championships (Provincial), and Trillium Meet. There is the opportunity for solo, duet, and team routines.

10 & Under (born in 2016 or later)
To be on this team there is NO previous artistic swimming experience. Swimmers in this age category learn the basics and fundamentals of the sport, while also enhancing their overall swimming ability and comfort level above & below the water. Athletes typically compete in 3-4 competitions throughout the season and have 2 practices per week.
Frequency: 2 times per week + additional Friday practice(s) per month
Duration: September 2025 to the end of May 2026
Sessions: Mondays 5:00pm-7:30pm [5-6pm land] AND Wednesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm (Extra figure practice - Friday 5:00-7:30pm [5-6pm land]).
Session Start Date: September 8th, 2025
Session End Date: June 1st, 2026
Price: TDB based on registration (approximately $2,250)

11-12 Year Old Team (born in 2015 and 2014 or later)
Within this age category it is recommended for the swimmer to have some form of previous synchronized swimming experience, but not mandatory. Swimmers focus on improving the basics of artistic swimming along side swimming strokes and flexibility. Swimmers will compete in 3-5 competitions and have 3 practices per week.
Frequency: 3 times per week
Duration: September 2025 to end of May 2026
Sessions: Mondays 5-8:00pm [5-6pm land], Wednesdays 5:30pm-7:30pm AND Fridays 5-8:00pm [5-6pm land]
Session Start Date: September 8th, 2025
Session End Date: June 1st, 2026

13- 15 Year Old Youth Team
In this age group swimmers will continue to perfect and improve on their already learned basic skills and continue to expand on these skills. Emphasis on flexibility & swimming strokes continues. Swimmers will compete in 3-5 competitions and have 3 practices per week.
