Every year, Sudbury Synchro swimmers join forces to raise money for Breast Cancer. 100% of the proceeds go towards the cause. In the past years, Sudbury, one of the smallest clubs in Ontario, has successfully raised more money than any other synchro club in the province. We hope it will be the same again this year. The event, which took place October 25th, consisted of synchro athletes relaying a lit candle across the Laurentian University Pool for an hour. The night was amazing! It was the 14th Burning Bright event and it was an incredible success! The club wishes the thank the athletes, coaches, parents, volunteers, family, and friends who all showed support. But that's not all. There was also a Porketta Bingo evening for the cause which raised a lot of money as well as other events! From the Sudbury Hyundai empowering women's event, the Scarlet Tomato lunch and dinner, the Event Bake Sale to our Merchandise sales. Everything was a huge success and we tip our hats to all of you who participated, volunteered, encouraged, spread the word, and most importantly donated. This year's Burning Bright event was the BIGGEST one yet, we are overwhelmed with our club's total of $18 333.36 in donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Thank you Sudbury.
